Uncommon Gift Mall

An Uncommon Gift for the Common Good

Content - Uncommon Gift MallInstead of a season of peace and bliss, Christmas ends up a season of stress, traffic jams, and shopping lists.  Ugly sweaters, ill patterned ties, and random gift cards fill brightly colored boxes every year.  Americans spend, on average, $450 billion every Christmas.  What if that money went to the needy, the homeless, or the forgotten? It would be revolutionary.

The Uncommon Gift Mall is a resource for Anchorage to give differently, give fully, and give lovingly.  Imagine opening up a gift on Christmas morning that says “In your honor, 50 bowls of soup were purchased to feed homeless in downtown Anchorage.”  No ugly ties to store, but someone’s life will be changed.
A wide variety of booths, donation amounts, and meaningful gifts will fill the ChangePoint Commons.
Inspire the whole family with this shopping experience that won’t soon be forgotten!
The Uncommon Gift Mall – a place at Christmas to share Life in Christ with Alaska and the World Beyond.

Funks – Missionaries
Content - The Funk Family

The Funk family's ministry in Hooper Bay has proven to be one of the most culturally relevant ministries in bush Alaska.  Training youth leaders by mentoring them in village life, taking them thousands of miles to native leadership summits and helping them learn and develop skills to become productive members of their community has been at the center of the Funks' ministry for the past 9 years.  Their leadership in teaching young people in aviation science has grown into a ministry called AVSTEM which they hope will open doors for teaching in many bush communities where youth ministries may also be developed.

InterAct
Content - Interact Ministries

Stretched across the top of the North Pacific Ocean is a crescent, spanning western Canada, Alaska and Siberian Russia, with many communities and peoples hidden from the Gospel. This region includes 12,000 communities that lack a visible expression of the church of Jesus Christ. InterAct Ministries envisions every single one of those places not only having a body of believers, but experiencing the transformation that Jesus brings through the church, His primary change agent for the world. InterAct longs to see Jesus worshipped in every one of those communities, so that God's Glory might fill the North Pacific Crescent.
